According to The Guardian, saxophonist Scott Hamilton is considered the epitome of jazz at its best. His unique and captivating playing style has been recognized worldwide, leading to encounters with legendary musicians such as Roy Eldridge. In New York, Hamilton even shared the stage with icons like Ella Fitzgerald, Benny Goodman, and Woody Herman. Expect a concert filled with classical jazz traditions of the highest caliber, delivered by a musician who has been at the international forefront for many years. Hamilton will be accompanied by the cream of the crop from the Dutch jazz scene: Rein de Graaff on piano, Marius Beets on double bass, and Eric Ineke on drums.

Dave Gelly aptly describes Scott Hamilton's playing: "Following a Scott Hamilton solo is like listening to a great conversationalist in full flow. First comes the voice, the unmistakable, confident sound of his tenor saxophone, then the informal style, and finally, the astonishing fluency and eloquent mastery of the jazz language."

Scott Yanow, the ultimate jazz expert, writes about Hamilton's impact on the jazz world: "When Scott Hamilton began recording in 1977, his playing was a revelation to followers of the jazz scene. Here was a young world-class musician in his early twenties who, instead of playing fusion, avant-garde jazz, or R&B, chose to explore the swing standards."
