Beeld & Geluid, Queer 040, and Muziekgebouw Eindhoven present Harm Edens: From Faggots to Queers, the ultimate news quiz about the past, present, and future of LGBTQIA+ emancipation in the Netherlands. Get ready for an evening of looking back and looking forward to the emancipation of LGBTQIA+ individuals in the Netherlands. Where do we come from, what milestones have we already achieved, and what still needs to happen to achieve full emancipation? What has gone well and what still needs improvement? A quiz full of humor and hilarity but with a serious undertone.

You are the contestant in this quiz. Using videos and news clips from the Beeld & Geluid collection, you'll play three rounds on your smartphone about the history, present, and future of LGBTQIA+ emancipation.

Harm Edens hosts the quiz and is accompanied by a panel of three wise individuals:

About the host Harm Edens

Program maker, screenwriter, columnist, moderator, and speaker/professional jester; just like his character, Harm Edens is surprisingly versatile: witty, sharp, and alert, but always substantive. Harm was born curious and doesn't beat around the bush. His main drive: making genuine connections with his audience. Harm has been hosting the satirical quiz show 'Dit Was Het Nieuws' for over 26 years. In 2022, he launched the podcast "And They Lived Gay and Happy. The Fairy Tale of LGBTQ+ Freedom in the Netherlands."


This quiz is a collaboration between Beeld & Geluid, Queer 040, and Muziekgebouw Eindhoven.
