  • The Wood Brothers

Mixture of folk, country, blues, and jazz
    Tue 27 Aug ’24

Brothers Chris and Oliver Wood have been making music together as The Wood Brothers since 2006. In 2011, multi-instrumentalist Jano Rix joined the duo, adding layers of texture to their music with his arsenal of instruments. The trio blends folk, country, blues, and jazz into a typical Americana style while maintaining a distinct sound. Their performances as a trio are so impressive that it's hard to believe there are only three of them. In 2013, they received widespread recognition with their album 'The Muse,' and in 2018, they received a Grammy nomination for their album 'One Drop of Truth'.

In September, Ilse returns to Muziekgebouw Eindhoven with her band, performing not only music from her new album "Tainted," but also many of her big and well-known hits from her 25-year career, such as "Miracle," "So Incredible," and "Changes."

  • Haken

    British progressive metal band
    i.c.w. Effenaar
    Tue 17 Sep ’24

When it comes to progressive rock, Haken is the name that springs to mind. Since the sextet from England began making music in 2004, they have been one of the most adventurous bands within their genre. Each album they have released is unique, but they are connected by their unpredictable time signatures and distinctive songwriting and vocals. Their most recent album, "Fauna," epitomizes this diversity at its best. Haken describes the album as their 'sonic rainforest', where they blend old sounds with new, daring ideas. During this concert, they will perform "Fauna" in its entirety, as well as a selection of their older work.
