A creative collaboration of young musicians from Rotterdam led to the formation of the Brintex Collective, led by keyboardist Brenn Luiten. What began as a trio has now expanded to include 5 or even 6 musicians who bring life to Brenn's compositions. Influences from jazz, hip-hop, and electronic music ensure an immediate burst of energy when you listen to their music, and that energy is equally evident on stage! Brenn describes the band as "UK-influenced Jazz music," citing acts like Alfa Mist and Robert Glasper as their inspirations.

Brintex Collective undeniably makes jazz cool. Their EP was released in April 2023, and earlier that year, they already appeared as emerging artists at Eurosonic Noorderslag in Groningen.

Every other Saturday, established names and surprisingly emerging talent from the contemporary jazz and soul scene take turns in an informal club setting at Blue Note ClubSessions. At Meneer Frits, the focus is on combining socializing with enjoying top-notch live music.

The ClubCard has a scratch-off layer revealing a unique code. You can use this code to order your Blue Note ClubSessions tickets online prior to the concert. The ClubCard itself does not grant access to the concert, so make sure to order your tickets beforehand. The ClubCard is valid for all Blue Note ClubSessions in the 2023/2024 season, which runs until July 2024. 

You can choose to have the ClubCard delivered to your home for an additional fee or pick it up at our box office. Don’t forget to bring the order confirmation.

Timetable

The doors of Meneer Frits open at 4:00 PM, where you can already enjoy a drink and the music of a jazz DJ. The live concert starts at 5:00 PM and will last until 6:15 PM. To wrap up the event nicely, the jazz DJ will play until 7:00 PM.
