The credentials of Jesse van Ruller are probably well-known among jazz guitar enthusiasts by now. Whether it's his performances alongside some of the world's greatest musicians, his prestigious Thelonious Monk Award win (with judges like John Scofield, Pat Metheny, and Jim Hall), or the numerous beautiful albums he's released since his debut in 1996 (both solo and with collaborators like SfeQ, Hans Teeuwen, and Benjamin Herman), you might have read about it all before. Jesse van Ruller is simply one of the most celebrated jazz guitarists in the Netherlands and Europe. So, it's only fitting that he graces the stage at BRIDGE AROUND TOWN. He's inventive, dexterous, plays with great expressiveness, and always surprises with his melodies and harmonies.

"With his melodically strong lines and creative use of effects, Jesse van Ruller has transcended the jazz label that is often still attached to him," writes Gitarist in a recent edition about this remarkable instrumentalist, who will also conduct a masterclass during the BRIDGE Guitar Convention.
