Music from the Orient is a performance where the rich musical heritage from the eastern Mediterranean region, Anatolia, the Levant, and the Balkans is presented. The band was founded in 2017 in Eindhoven as a project by Mercan & Bülent Kocuroğlu, Başak Ebret, and Önder Babur. Music from the Orient covers a wide range of musical styles and languages, including Turkish, Kurdish, Arabic, Greek, Ladino, and languages from the Balkans. The aim of Music from the Orient is to bring people with different backgrounds and cultures together. They have already organized numerous multicultural events, particularly in Eindhoven but also across the rest of the Netherlands.

During the evening, you will be welcomed in a cozy living room atmosphere, with the band also acting as the host. Tonight, you'll experience a Turkish Balkan Night with Music from the Orient and other guest artists! Immerse yourself in the warmth of the music and enjoy an evening in a unique theme every time.

Special guest: Gipsy Mood

Gipsy Mood is a colorful collection of talented musicians who know how to enhance any occasion with atmospheric world music. What binds them is their passion for music with influences from the Balkans. Expect a cocktail of festive Gypsy music, stimulating klezmer, traditional Eastern European music, influences from South America and Cape Verde, and the swing of the Hot Club de France.

Special guest: ZZZ Topic Band

ZZZ Topic Band is an initiative of singer-songwriter Damir Mumini (freestyler on his acoustic guitar), Nedim Osmanovic (second guitar/vocals), and Chris Kappert (bass guitar). They draw inspiration from music from the 80s, which is recognizably reflected in the lyrics of their songs. For this occasion, a colorful Balkan repertoire has been put together, which will be performed acoustically.
